Good Housekeeping’s April 2010 issue has the lovely Valerie Bertinelli on the cover, and inside it’s pages are AVON and mark. finds that will help you greet Spring with a smile!

On page 75, the “Good Looks” section goes over the best mascara buys for the type of lash look you are going for. Under the “Long & Lush” category, the application advice is as follows: “Start with dark liner from the tear duct to the outer corner. After you curl your lashes and put on primer, slick on two coats of lengthening mascara, wiggling the wand back and forth at the base and extending the color out to the tips.” Product picks? “Use a medium-to-thick lengthening formula and a brush with LOTS of bristles, such as AVON’s SuperExtend Mascara, ($8.50, avon.com) with tiny fibers that stick to and elongate lashes.” Yay AVON! Wanna know something even better? This fantastic mascara is presently on sale for only $5.99! Loving that beauty bargain!

Another great Beauty Deal was found on page 85. The page described cute little multitasking makeup brands that you can throw in your purse, without it taking up tons of space, or tons of your time to apply. On their list of eight great finds, mark.’s “Pretty Wild” lipgloss came in third. It’s described as a “Shade Shifter“: “Squeeze a clear AND colored gloss from one tube. mark. Pretty Wild Color & Shine Lip Gloss in Candy Fix ($7, meetmark.com) Pretty nice, but they forget to mention that it also tastes & smells minty delicious!

Last, but definitely not least… mark. is found again on page 171, with Good Housekeeping’s “Swing into Spring” section where they share “the season’s latest looks.” Even though the mark. treasure they found was small, the black enamel ring made a huge impact in their “black & white” collection. Unfortunately, this great find is now sold out. But I’ve found a pretty good substitute! If you’ve been hesitant to try animal prints, perhaps this mark. adjustable Zebra print ring would be a good start!
